At the Frictionless Frenzy, an open adult-and-youth event on the demanding 2016 Badger sport pattern, Arryn rolled twelve strikes in Game 3 for his first sanctioned 300. What made it rarer still: it landed inside his first-ever 800 series, an 803 across the opening block.
The hot start carried him to the number-two seed for the stepladder finals out of 36 bowlers. He lost the semifinal by a single pin, 212 to 211, and placed 3rd. The result was a podium. The honor was a perfect game on a sport shot.
