The Moment
SYC Ohio is bowled as three five-game blocks, each on its own pattern — Short, Medium, then Long — with all fifteen games combined into a single total. Arryn drew the Short pattern first — 37 feet, a 3.28:1 ratio and 25.15 mL of oil — and the weekend opened about as well as a weekend can.
The very first game he threw in Columbus was eleven consecutive strikes, then a 9 on the fill ball for a 299. It carried a 1,090 opening block — a 218.0 average and 1st of 34 in the U15 Boys field — and it stood as the high game of his weekend.
