Some tournaments make you wait for a moment. This one started with one. In the very first game of the 2026 NCAUSBCA Youth Invitational, at Bowl America Gaithersburg, Arryn struck the first eleven and left himself a single pin away from a perfect game. A 299 to open the event.
It was a statement in his first year up in the A Division. The format is one of the most demanding in regional youth bowling: 20 games across four weekends and four different centers, all on the challenging Dead Man's Curve V2 sport pattern. Arryn stayed competitive the whole way through, advanced to the stepladder finals, and finished runner-up with a 202.80 average and 4,176 total pins.

The Youth Invitational is regarded as one of the toughest youth tournaments in the region. This was Arryn's first year in the top flight, and he made it count immediately.
Moving up a division and immediately finishing 2nd, while raising his average by more than fourteen pins, is a clear marker of development. The same nerve that produced eleven straight strikes in Game 1 carried through a month of competition.
