The Experiment, Concluded
This was the third of three PBA Jr. events Arryn entered in a single month of 2025, a deliberate experiment to see how a young bowler would hold up against a real regional field. Fifteen games of qualifying, then match play, top eight advancing.
He answered the talent question emphatically. He qualified 4th of ten, posting four games of 200 or better, including a 247 to close out the block. Then match play asked the other question, the one these three events were really about, and the answer was honest: when every game stood alone, win or lose, his scoring fell apart. He dropped from 4th to 6th.
Qualifying: Big Games, Big Swings
Fifteen games, and a profile that defines this whole stretch of his career. Four games over 200 sitting right next to a 147 and a 152. The ceiling was obvious. So was the floor.
Match Play: The Verdict
Eight head-to-head games, and his average fell from 187.7 in qualifying to 170.8. He won three. He also handed three of his losses to bowlers he had outqualified, with a 114, a 147, and a 159. This is the page that explains why the next year of work was about the mind, not the release.

What the Three Events Said
Across three PBA Jr. events in 2025, the pattern never changed. Tenth at the first, fourth at the second, sixth at the third, and in every one the same truth: the hands and the ball speed were tournament-ready, and the emotional game was not. When a frame went wrong, he could not let it go, and the steadier bowlers at the top quietly collected the games he gave away.
That was the whole point of running the experiment. You cannot build what you have not measured.
