Tournament Overview

SYC Texas at Cityview Lanes in Fort Worth was a complete, balanced performance. Across a 27-deep U15 Boys field, Arryn finished 4th overall at a 201.0 average, 3,015 pins over fifteen games, and never placed worse than 9th in any single block.

The signature came on the long pattern. While most fields fade on the longest, most demanding oil, Arryn went the other way and posted a 224.6 average to win the block outright, 1,123 pins and the only block of his weekend over the baseline. He saved his best for the longest shot.

Why This Result Matters

Plenty of bowlers post one big block and one rough one. Arryn did the opposite of fading: he was steady on the short and medium, then turned the long pattern, the place where most fields struggle, into his best work of the weekend. Closing strong on the longest shot is a marker of a complete player.

A 4th-place finish with a block win at a national SYC stop confirmed the trajectory that the 2025 season kept reinforcing. The technical skill to read three different patterns, and the mental toughness to raise his level when the lanes got meanest, were exactly the qualities that carried into his championship 2026.
